SO IM BACK AGAIN!!!!!

Its been awhile since ive posted any type of blog, around 3 months now. With tourny's being played left and right I figured it was about time to update. In the beginning of the year I made it a point not to play any more online poker, in fact, it was a New Year's resolution! But of course, sitting around the house with no vehicle, neteller.com it is. So yes, Pokerstars and Royal Vegas are my two poker sites of choice. Between the two, ive been profitable. Ive played at the Big O 4 or 5 times since the last posting. Id say ive moneyed around half of them. Currently, I rank number seven at the Big O. Not to bad.....I'm hoping to improve from last year where I finished tenth on the money list. We'll see what happens.

A week ago the Big O hosted a golf tournament in lago vista where my team, The Guppies, would finish numero uno baby!! (thanks to the other three of course.....Justin, Toby, and Skip). Had it just been me, shit, no chance in hell, well, with that system we used may have turned out ok. But probly not. However, the day was lots of fun. Feels good to get out on the golf course nomatter how hot it is.

The last couple of weeks I won a 50+5 dollar sit n go. 225 for 1st, not bad, profit 170 on top of the buy-in. And took 2nd in another one, still around 90 profit. But lately, I have been playing alot more limit poker. On pokerstars, I was somehow able to take 25 to 1,000 playing mainly limit with the help of no limit in the begginning. That 5-10 limit can be scary, I promise!! Not a good idea to play unless you are feeling extremely confident in ur game with a plate of luck sitting in front of you. However, win one time without getting sucked out, ur set! Royal Vegas, I grew some balls and took 300 to a 5-10 no limit table. U think 5-10 limit was scary................damn, no limit will rip ur balls off.(excuse the crude language) However, at the table i was delt pocket 10 around the 10th hand ironically. I raised to 40, guy right behind me reraised to 80, shit! Everyone folded except for one guy plus myself for another 40. So three people in the hand. Flop comes out all under cards. I bet 50....guy right behind me raises all in for around 400 more which of course would have put me all in plus more.....the third guy folds his hand around to me......now to make a decision, around 160 more to call. shit I was already in for quite a bit, perfect board for the call, so I called. The guy who raised me all in was on a full bluff. He didn't even have over cards or any type of striaght or flush draw. I won the hand for 970 dollars. It was shower time after that hand baby(with all the sweat and all).

I think its time to slow it down a little.........back to Mondo's online tourny's and Big O games. After winning, time for a break. No need to put all of it back in. The only revision im making at this point is no cash games at all. Just mondo's tournies, hopefully I can make it!! : ) Speaking of Mondo's online tournies, I chopped the biggest one yet, lucky me. 112 buckaroos.........cashed it out...woohoo....suprisingly it went direclty to my neteller account instantly, wish it was like that all the time. Thats all for now. See you guys later!!!!!!!!!

Wasn't a great run the past week....

So it started on Wednsday when I decided to play in Mondo's online tournament. Did ok for awhile but drifted away slowly...however, before the tournament started, I played a little .25/.50 cent limit holdem where i took in 3.50 i didnt have much to work with but somehow or another got it up to about 10 bucks so i moved up to a .50/1 limit game where i bumped up another 10.....so i was up. transfered mondo 10 from the twenty i owed him. had about 13 left which didnt include the tournament buyin for 11...so i was basically up around 10 bucks!!....not bad for limit....played in the tournament....was knocked out and decided to play with the 13 i had left in my account. went to a .25/.50 cent no limit game and basically calling dollar raises with jack ten suited and so forth......didn't catch A THING!!! shoved all-in with the best hand(dont remember what just know i was in good shape and of course was sucked out...internet..go figure) soon after i lost it all i deleted pokerstars from my desktop. all done baby..at least i was able to send mondo 10 back..

Beside the wed internet play..i played in saturday's 25 dollar no limit freezout where i lasted for about 4 hours or so.....was short stacked with 13 players left and was looking at a raise from pants of fifteen thousand which was puting me all-in.........i looked and had ace queen....of course im gonna call. tunrs out i was in GREAT SHAPE......AQ vs Q8 offsuite.........what comes on the river....everybody can guess..the three outer...an eight.....im gone! so overall, i lost 45 dollars playing poker this week but as i said earlier....no more internet play....(except for the private Big O tournaments : ) im not worried about a loss.....happens to the best of us....hopefully i will finish strong in some upcoming live tournaments. I'm out for awhile.....gotta start a fresh new week ttyl guys

Hello all, I am creating a live blog from the very tournament that has a 5 dollar bounty on myself. I have started a new years resolution to halt my online play. So far its working, no poker except for the private online Big O tournaments. I have honestly respected my new resolution for 2006 by deleting all of my poker software including my neteller account. The tournament is about to start so here we go!

My table has only 4 people....crap

9:01-lost about 100 with only a pair of sizes with one on the board

9:06-KQ hit two pair against one player but no action(didnt raise preflop)

9:10-made final table..great

9:13-lost 150 on a ace high flush draw

9:16-AQ took down 600 dollar pot(hit top pair-perfect flop)

9:19-just lost 200 with a full house to a higher full house

9:23-AQ, raised to 90, blinds at 15/30...totally missed flop, folded to a 300 bet

9:29-pocket jacks, raised 120 on top of blinds....had two callers, all under cards..went all-in and took down pot

9:31-pocket jack again!!!..raised 250 this time with blinds moving to 25/50..had one caller..... again..flop was all under jacks and bet 300 rather than all in.....he folded

9:33-I called a 150 raise with K7 suited....strange but called and missed

9:36-had pocket 4's--checked around to the river where i hit a straight, called 350 with it and faced another raise...around 500 more...folded, someone hit their flush..sure enough ace high

9:47-AQ..went all in..hit two queens off the flop for trips....(henry called with ace jack btw)...ten would have busted me...was able to dodge it and stay alive..doubled up

9:48-down to 5 players

9:51-pocket jacks for a third time!! pushed all-in..no callers..extra 150 off big blinds

10:00-ace jack..called over half my stack....didnt hit on flop, sucks

10:07-83 suited...went all in for 395, missed the flop...lost to king high

I was out 5th..so whoever gets it next is bubble boy.....................

well, what do you know.......lost with the bad cards, thats a first : )

goodnight to all.....i am hungry as hell, i think i hamburger sounds about right

Billy the Kid himself...
Well poker world, this is my first blog ever, may as well start blogging about poker. First...a little about myself. My name is Michael, I am 20 years old and attending Austin community College. I have been playing poker for about two years now and have been pretty successful. Here's a small and sweat account of my poker history. In January of 2005, I played in a 20+2 dollar 6,000 guaranteed rebuy tournament. 180 total people played in this tourny, the biggest real money tournament I had played at that time. About an hour into it, yes, I took a bad beat and decided to rebuy one time! That is it, my bankroll was healthy enough to loose another rebuy so I figured what the heck. Playing for about 5 hours I actually made it to the final table...unbelievable! I couldn't believe it, but I had to remain calm and play my game. At that point, I was satisfied even if that meant getting knocked out first at the final table, it still payed like 250 or something. Well I had a decent size stack, pushed at the right times, took down some pots and got into heads up play, after about 7 or 8 minutes...I get the scary Ace King offsuite. What to do?? My opponent was small blind and raised a significant amount, so I said what the heck, he may have a small pair, but I'll gamble...so I pushed all-in hoping that he had AQ or AJ. Well, he had me beat pre-flop with 55...I called it..small pair. I was fortunate to hit top two pair off the flop, Aces and Kings. I'm yelling....no five on turn or river and was able to achieve the biggest victory for me personally.

In 2005, Royal Vegas was my first choice playing online, I still managed to visit Pokerstars and Pokerroom from time to time. My account history on Royal Vegas shows that I have deposited around 1200 but have withdrawn over 3500, so the bad beats have been kept to a minimum, lucky me!! As far as online casinos go, I recommend people to stay away as far as possibleJustin introduced me to Pacific Poker's online caisno......Casino-On-Net From what he told me, they had a promotion going where they would match your deposit of up to 200 dollars. I took him up on it, he reffered me, and from there I played a little while. I told myself I was only going to play with their money, which I did. The strange thing is, as soon as you make your first deposit, and they match it, you can withdraw your deposit immidietly...must be a glitch in their software. Good for me but shitty for them. : ) I played a couple of days and took 200 to 2,200 dollars. Are you kidding me?? Did this really happen? Hell yes it did. I played two casino games mainly, Carribean Poker and Blackjack. As crazy as it sounds, I won around 1500 on Carriben poker and around 3 or 4 hundred on blackjack and was placing 100 dollar blackjack bets online...I won 2 of the 3 bets. Still awesome. However, it takes a week to process withdraws to your neteller acountfrom the online casinos...oh shit! you know what that means. I ended up playing more, and yes, I suffered the consequences. I lost about 1400 because of tilt play. I put 300 dollars down on one hand of blackjack..of course...drew an 18...dealer shows an eight and draws an ace....assholes. I was down to 700. I decided to withdraw it and in a week it went into my neteller account. so i made an extra 500 off of my original 200, can't complain. I haven't played in an online casino for about 10 months now and don't plan on it!

Twenty has been a tuff year for me, can't experience Vegas, or at least the real Vegas. In September, I will be going to Shreveport to the Binion's Horeshoe with my dad's side of the family, can't complain...a new experience. Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Michigan are the only states I have gambled in. i was not successful at any of them, go figure. I felt like I was playing poker with my little brothers in these poker rooms, especially in Michigan. I think the Big O needs to take a group up and perfom a one week lesson on how to play the true game of Texas Holdem. I don't want to get into detail about the play at Chipin Islands(the casino at harris, MI), it only makes me angry. However, the play at Winstar(the casino just an hour north of dallas) was pretty decent playing 1/2 no limit holdem. I played with around 200 and was getting absolutly nothing all day. At the table for around 5 hours, I would get so bored and call 5 dollar raises with jack nine offsuite, yes i know, something i would normally never do, but you know, I said screw it and played some medium hands. And no, I didn't catch anything all day. I pushed all in with a pair of 2's pre flop and had 2 callers. Both checked all the way down, but unfortunetly for me, one guy hit a jack on the river. oh well, at least i know how the play is now.

Most live tournies happen at the Big O...which is where I have been playing for 2 years now. My first year at the Block House location was crappy, only chopping first a couple of times and taking second like once. Other than that, I lost a little because of my unexperienced play. The second year, at the new Big O, I climbed my way up to 10th on the money list, a large improvement from the first year. We are now at our 3rd season, where I am currently second on the money list. We will see what happens but I am confident enough to hopefully finish strong this year, we'll see.

This is my first entry and am now going to be frequently posting blogs, so keep on reading....tty later guys : )
